Our guest on the Friday, 30 January 2014 edition of Portsmouth this Week was State Representative Linda Finn, who represents Middletown and Portsmouth District 72. Representation Finn discussed a wide variety of current issues, including the Sakonnet River bridge tolls, the Aquidneck Island Broadband initiative, gun control in Rhode Island and several of the town’s legislative priorities. She also described the two $1000 legislative grants that she acquired to support the 375th history project at the Portsmouth library and the Portsmouth Prevention Coalition’s Project Purple, an anti-substance abuse program of the Chris Herren Project which was held throughout the town last week.
