Portsmouth Free Public Library Programs Discussed on PTW

Our guests on Friday’s edition of Portsmouth this Week were the Director of the Portsmouth Public library, Carolyn Magnus, and the Reference and Young Adult Librarian, Susan Rousseau. We discussed the many and varied programs and other offerings available to Portsmouth residents and many other aspects of the library operations, including book clubs for adults, teens and children, a special program for studying your roots through genealogical research and exhibits of historic artifacts from Portsmouth's history. Particularly interesting are the training, student tutoring and research assistance programs, available both in-person and online. If you’d like to learn more about how the library can help you or the students in your family, this episode, available online at http://youtu.be/HUA6tMQUOsA  is a good beginning. The library website at http://portsmouthlibrary.org  has details of all programs as well as contact information to learn more.

Portsmouth this Week, the "Voice of Portsmouth Town Hall" is a weekly public service television program started by Town Administrator, John Klimm. It airs on Public television (Cox channel 18) on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. It can also be seen by clicking on the video link above or from the link on the Portsmouth Town website www.portsmouthri.com .
