Join the Crowd on New Year's Day at the "Polar Dive for 375"
The weather will be sunny tomorrow but a west wind should keep it cool at Island Park Beach for the 1st Celebratory event of Portsmouth's 375th year, the "Polar Dive for 375." Come down and join the crowd of intrepid (?) folks who want to get our party started with a splash into the Sakonnett River at noon. Post dive refreshments, compliments of many local restaurants, markets and other establishments, will be available afterwards at the Beach House Bar and Grille on Park Avenue. Portsmouth 375th T-Shirts, Ball Caps and Bumper Stickers will also be available for purchase so you can support future 375th events in the New Year.
Join our local elected officials, members of the 375th Steering Committee, and your neighbors at this unique Portsmouth event.
