New Town Administrator Video Series 'Portsmouth This Week' to Air Next Wednesday

New "Portsmouth This Week" video series to feature town administrator and other town officials.

The first episode of a weekly video series entitled "Portsmouth This Week" is in production and will be shown on Public Access Channel 18 next week – on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Thursday at 11 a.m. The series is an initiative of new Town Administrator John Klimm to keep the public informed about important town issues and will include interviews and discussions with John and other Portsmouth town officials talking about what is going on in town.

In the first session, taped this morning, Mr. Klimm discusses his proposed budget for  2013 and the message to the Town Council that accompanied it. Due to the complexity of the topic, this is a double episode in two, 30-minute segments. It is expected that the usual weekly show will be 30 minutes in length and that they will air on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m.

In addition to being available for viewing on Channel 18, each episode will also be available for viewing on the Internet via a link on the Portsmouth Town Web site and other selected sites, including Portsmouth Patch. I'll advise when these links become available.

This video series is produced by a small group of volunteers led by Rich Talipsky, an award-winning local videographer, and NCTV-18’s coordinator, Brian Medieros. Other volunteers function as interviewers, camera operators and audio/video assistants. This series is one of John Klimm's efforts to expand community outreach and civic engagement. Let’s all support him in this worthwhile effort.

Keep an eye out for this and future episodes of “Portsmouth this Week” and watch them to keep up with the local events and issues that will affect all of us.
