A Kayak View of Island Park "Escape" Bridge Repairs

Thanks to the great weather yesterday, I got my kayak in the water for the first time this year and was able to see the Island Park "Escape" bridge repairs from underneath it.

Aside from the existing concrete pilings, it appears that the bridge structure itself is being totally rebuilt. The roadway surface has been removed and will have to be reconstructed and then paved - all before the Hurricane season starts this year in June.

I hope DOT is up to the task!
