Celebrate the Best of Portsmouth at the 375th Kite Festival in Glen Park on Sunday

Portsmouth's 375th Kite Festival has Become a Major Event - Fun for All Ages

What started to be a simple Kite Festival in honor of Earth Day has evolved into a major fun-filled Family-oriented event, that includes music by the Brass Quintet from the Navy Band Northeast, a Bounce house for the small kids, Story Teller/musician Lindsay Adler, handouts of free seed packets, a gardern-oriented garage sale by the Portsmouth Garden Club, a visit by Miss Rhode Island Teen USA, Elaine Collado, and of course, a kite flying demonstration by Kite expert Tom Casselman. The highlight of the afternoon will be the formation of a human heart at 2 PM for a 375th anniversary keepsake photograph, supported by the Portsmouth Fire Department and photographer Jim Garman (aka our Town Historian!).

This is an event that you won't want to miss, so come down to Portsmouth's Glen Park from 12:30 to 3:30 PM on Sunday and join in the celebration. Join us for the "part of the heart" signature photo and become a part of Portsmouth history!

This event is free. Donations to benefit the 375th celebration effort will be accepted.
