Portsmouth Superintendent Fails to Register Vehicle in RI

Despite the state law requiring registration after 30 days, Portsmouth's superintendent is still driving around with Illinois license plates, according to an investigative report.

Despite a state law requiring drivers to register their vehicle within 30 days of moving to the Ocean State, one school superintendent has failed to comply.

Portsmouth Superintendent of Schools Lynn Krizic, who became superintendent in summer 2011, is still driving her 2003 Saab Turbo with Illinois license plates, according to an investigation by The Hummel Report.

Krizic, a Little Compton resident, told Jim Hummel she failed to change the license plates and register her vehicle despite living in Rhode Island for more than 18 months.
