I agree. And the key will be to "allow" whoever buys the line, or operates the line to e able to charge a reasonable fee without government interference. To create a whole new quasi-governmental branch to operate this is "over the top"!!

ReplyI am hoping that, rusty as it us from misuse, the private sector will mobilize and take the initiative on this enterprise. We are not some third world nation that needs the government to handle running a ferry service. Let the government get out of the way and let commerce thrive! We all know what happens when we create legislative bodies to run things. Nothing gets done efficiently!!!

Are you comparing windmills to chickens???? Noise and vibration coming from large turbines are behind an increase in heart disease, migraine, panic attacks and other health problems, according to American doctor Nina Pierpoint and many others. We are talking serious health issues here.

ReplyI have learned that this is a special interests bill for the Stamp Farm in North Kingstown. The bill, if approved, would circumvent a local ordinance which put a moratorium on all wind turbine installations in North Kingstown. The developer Mark DePasquale is behind this bill.
Don't we LOVE the way our legislators take care of our "special interest" groups???? -

ReplyHere is a link to another wind article about 14,000 idle wind turbines and how the thought processes are changing. One of the highlights: Wind farms do not generate electricity on any commercially competitive level. The only reason that wind farms can survive is through government subsidy, which is ... stolen from the taxpayer and funneled into the pockets of rent-seeking businessmen.
It’s a Ponzi scheme, concluded Delingpole, PROMOTED AS A WAY TO SIPHON FUNDS FROM THOSE TAXPAYERS INTO THE POCKETS OF INVESTMENT MANAGERS LIKE BLACK ROCK AND MANUFACTURERS LIKE ELEMENT POWER, despite evidence that such “investments” have no chance whatever of returning a profit with them. Delingpole explained: The evidence for man-made global warming is vanishingly small, to the point of non-existence. The only people predicting disastrous man-made climate-change catastrophe are computer modelers and economists who are part of this green Ponzi scheme....
No earth scientist, no real scientist, is predicting this stuff because the evidence speaks otherwise.
