I've done some looking into your questions — Mr. Hassell was hired on Oct. 17, 2005, and was terminated from employment with the Town of Johnston on Sept. 10, 2012 for misuse of sick leave and vacation time.
I have corrected the article to reflect the fact that he is a former employee of the town, and will have more information on this topic in a future article. -
