ReplyDoes anyone know what ever came of the sidewalks for Sprague St.? That was on a list once....I'd hate to see one of the HS students hit. People drive way to fast there.

ReplyJLM,If you have something to say about the story posted in the Patch then state your thoughts about the story and please control your compulsion to attack what I have to say.Gospel?Expert? Those are YOUR WORDS. Quit making assumptions and inferences based on my words.I didn't say the dog was a lost cause. You inferred that. I do not believe it is safe to have that dog near a baby.Reread my posts and you will see the section where I mention some of the outcomes that may be in this dog's future based on what I know. And why do you keep quoting me? I know what words I said.Again, I never used the word expert.I said I had experience and have done lots of research because of it. It's true! I spent a lot of time with the dog officer and a lot of time consulting with legal counsel well versed in these cases. I have a lot of information about this! Why is this a problem for you? One dog bite is plenty! Wouldn't you get all the information you could if you were the mother of a child in the same situation? I consider my experience valuable and my contribution relevant. And just because you do not, does not mean I have been "called out".You accuse me of claiming to be an expert, yet you are somehow the judge on the Patch to proclaim that I'm not? And calling someone an idiot? You find yourself so distraught over my posts that you are name calling? You can think whatever you want but it doesn't change my knowledge, experience, or my opinion about the story...or about myself :)
Peace out. -

ReplyOld Townie, dogs aren't always put down. There are many different outcomes in these cases including, behavior modification, confinement when near other dogs or people, relocation or retraining. I never said any dog that bites should be put down so your analogy to children is utterly ridiculous.

ReplyAnd don't be a &@$(. I didn't claim to have created the bite scale. I clearly said you can look it up yourself and read about it. I'm sure folks are capable of googling and this isn't a submission to a professional journal.

ReplyJLM, Also, how dare you announce that I don't like dogs and that it is apparent to everyone reading my posts! I love all kinds of animals and have lots of wonderful doggie friends that I enjoy immensely. The only reason I don't have a dog is that I am at work all day and do not feel it is fair to leave a dog alone for that long without companionship.
And while I'm sure your animal knowledge is fascinating, I wonder if you posted all your animal hours stats here to contribute to the dog attack discussion or as some kind of comeback to my posting of the dog bite scale. I posted that because it is relevant and to point out to you that I understand the difference between a bite that doesn't break skin and bites that cause death only because of your comment claiming that I must think nobody should have a dog because they all have the potential to bite!
I don't play games. I am a strong, caring, straightforward person and I joined this discussion to share my experience because I feel it is relevant. If you do not want to know what I have to say then do not read any more of my posts. Furthermore I really don't understand why you think it is your job to critique what I say when it had nothing to do with you until you started making judgements about my self expression.
