How Much Snow Will Fall in Portsmouth? Tell Us Your Predictions!

It's going to snow this weekend, but how much will we get?

Nemo is here!  The blizzard of 2013 began in Portsmouth just before 8:30 a.m. Friday. The National Weather Service is predicting 2 feet of snow will fall before its end.  Portsmouth Patch wants to know your snowfall predictions! How much snow do you think we'll see? When Snow, Sleet Will Arrive in Portsmouth

Messy weather is expected later today into Tuesday.

More snow, as well as sleet and freezing rain, is expected this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.  Snow is expected to arrive after 3 p.m. today, with accumulations of less than an inch predicted.  Tonight, more snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected before 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Less than an inch of new snow and sleet is expected this evening with more rain on Tuesday morning.  Will the weather keep you indoors tonight? What will you do during this latest storm? How Much Snow Is In Your Backyard, Portsmouth?

Time to take out those tape measures, rulers or marked strings and let us know—how much snow fell in your yard?

How much snow fell in your backyard? The National Weather Service estimates this storm would result in anywhere from three to six inches of new snowfall on Tuesday. How much did you measure? Take out your rulers, measurement sticks or just marked cardboard, and let us know! Post your snow totals in the comment section below. You can also post pictures of those measurements in the photo gallery above. Please include your street name so we can find out—which neighborhood saw the most snowfall in Portsmouth? Snow Slows Morning Travel in Portsmouth; How Was Your Commute?

How are the roads in Portsmouth? Did you have any trouble getting to school or work today?

A rain/snow mix slowed some morning commutes through Portsmouth today.  Although areas throughout Rhode Island saw more snow, Portsmouth's slushy roads resulted in the sound of plows this morning.  At least one crash is believed to have occurred during this morning's storm. A telephone pole was reportedly struck on West Main Road near Cory's Lane. Further details about the crash are unknown at this time.  How were the roads? Did you encounter any issues on your way to work/school this morning? Tell us in the comments below. The slush and snow mixtured did not cause any delays.
