Pay bills, payback all those who've helped me in one way or another with interest, give to charities, maybe start my own business and more. First I need to play Powerball to win. :)   more ›

No Powerball Winner in Rhode Island, Winning Tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri

With a $580 million prize on the line, Rhode Island residents come up empty on the big prize.

A half billion dollars was on the line in the Powerball drawing Wednesday night.  The $580 million winning Powerball numbers have been selected and people across Rhode Island were waking up Thursday checking their tickets to see if they were new millionaires.  But the winning tickets were actually sold down south and out west according to lottery officials. As of Thursday morning winning tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri.  The winning Powerball numbers for the Nov. 28, 2012 drawing are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and a Powerball number of 6. $580M Powerball Jackpot Numbers: Did You Hit Any of the Numbers?

Rhode Island is one of 42 states that play Powerball. Did you have any of the winning numbers?

5-16-22-23-29-6. If you had all six numbers (and you had the six in the all-important "power ball" spot), then you won all or a share of $579,900,000.  Then again, if you won all or part of $579,900,000, you aren't reading this right now. You're shopping for mansions in Portsmouth, driving the Bugatti you bought first thing Thursday morning to get there. There were two grand prize winners Wednesday night, according to the Powerball website. Neither was sold in Rhode Island, but some lucky soul from Massachusetts did win a million-dollar payday by hitting five numbers. Don't tear those tickets up if you missed all six numbers. If you got some combination of numbers, you may be able to recoup some of the money you spent buying the tickets. …

Poll: What Happened to the Winning Powerball Ticket?

Share you thoughts about what happened to that $336 million ticket.

It’s been more than a week since Rhode Island Lottery officials confirmed the winning ticket for the $336 million Powerball was sold at Stop & Shop on Bellevue Avenue. Rumors swirled that Sid Abruzzi of Water Bros. had the winning ticket. Then it was talk that several Shop & Shop employees were going to split the winnings, and that a Salve Regina University student had been set for life. Still, no one has stepped forward. Is the winner biding his or her time, waiting for the frenzy to die down? Or could it be the ultimate nightmare, and maybe the golden ticket has been lost?
