Dinner is done and the only thing more stuffed than the bird is you. Now the question becomes: What to do with all those leftovers? While many say simply reheating is all that’s necessary to have a “day after” feast, others have elaborate recipes for turning Thanksgiving leftovers into gourmet delights. From savory turkey soups to sinfully delicious pot pies and mile-high sandwiches, everyone has their own ideas on what to do with what’s leftover. The Food Network even has an entire recipe collection dedicated to the topic. Pumpkin pie? Pecan? A little of both? What dessert did you enjoy the most at Thanksgiving dinner?

What did you serve for dessert this Thanksgiving? With so much attention given to the bird, stuffing and cranberry sauce, dessert might be forgotten. However, some families still adhere to old recipes and labor all day to make a homemade pie.  Some bakers are becoming really creative in mixing and mashing desserts, such as the Cherpumple, a monster pie-cake with apple, pumpkin and cherries.  Portsmouth Patch wants to know what dessert you enjoyed the most this year? What's Open and Closed on Thanksgiving in Portsmouth

Here's a look at the stores and restaurants open this holiday on Thursday, Nov. 22.

This Thanksgiving, when the cranberry sauce turns a little runny or the bird turns a bit too black for Uncle Buck, where do you turn for help? What To Know About Today's Thanksgiving Football Game

The annual Thanksgiving Day Football game will be held in Middletown this year.

Thanksgiving means more than just loads of turkey, stories of pilgrims and a day off work; it is the day for the Middletown vs. Portsmouth annual football game Although this is a non-league game and is not ranked, Middletown is currently undefeated and Portsmouth holds a 6-2 record going into this game.   Portsmouth walked away with the bragging rights last Thanksgiving.  Here are the details for this year's game: Where? The game is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day this year on the Turf Field at the Gaudet School in Middletown.  When? Kickoff is at 10 a.m. How Much? The entrance fee is a straight $5 for everyone. 27th Annual Thanksgiving Pie Run

Everything you need to know about this year's pie run

The Newport Running Club organizes the annual Pie Run, held Thanksgiving morning, in Middletown. This year's race will be on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, starting promptly at 8:30 am. The 5 mile USATF sanctioned road race and 3 mile non-competitive walk starts and ends in front of the Newport County YMCA, 792 Valley Road, and is a scenic course with panoramic views of Sachuest Beach. Entrants are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to be contributed to a local food bank. Long sleeve technical shirts are available for all preregistered participants whose registrations are received prior to November 8th, 2012. Entry cost is $25, both pre and post registration. Thanksgiving Travel to Increase Slightly This Year According to AAA

AAA Releases its Thanksgiving 2012 Travel Forecast.

Thanksgiving is nearly here and that means people are thinking about the three Ts: turkey, trimmings and travel. Not only will it be a busy time in the kitchen, it will also be busy on the roads and at the airports. But according to the AAA Thanksgiving 2012 Travel Forecast, this year will be busier than last, but not by much.  According to the report, AAA estimates 43.6 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles from home between November 21st and November 25th, up 0.7 percent from 43.3 million people during the holiday last year. Some 90 percent of this year's travelers will be hitting the roads, 39.1 million of them traveling by automobile.
