Letter to Parents: School Superintendent Talks Storm, Postponing First Day

Superintendent of Schools Lynn Krizic released this letter to parents.

Portsmouth Superintendent of Schools Lynn Krizic released this letter to parents late Tuesday afternoon, explaining the postponement of schools and the lack of damage from Irene.  Electricity has been restored to all Portsmouth schools as of Tuesday morning. None of the schools sustained damaged from the storm, she said.  The first day of school for all students has been postponed until Sept. 1.  To read more on this, see the letter published at right.
