Cranston's Olivia Culpo Crowned Miss Universe

Cranston — and the rest of the USA — is rooting for hometown girl Olivia Culpo, who is competing for the Miss Universe title tonight.

Cranston's own Olivia Culpo has another crown to put next to her Miss USA crown — Miss Universe. Culpo, who won the Miss USA title in June, is a Cranston native. Culpo was wearing a Sherri Hill dress and shoes from Chinese Laundry when she was named a top 16 finalist. In an interview during the show, Culpo said one thing people might not know about her is "I'm really easy going." "Any joke — I'll get it. A lot of time, people think of beauty queens almost being plastic. I can take jokes. I can take anything," she said.
