UPDATE: Fire Torches Boat On Tiverton Property [VIDEO]
Crews responded around 3 a.m. Monday.
A dry docked boat is completely destroyed after fire crews battled a blaze at 3580 Main Road, Tiverton, around 3 a.m. Monday. According to Acting Lt. Bob Gagnon, crews responded to a neighbor report of a structure fire on the property behind Clearview Farm, Claddagh Farm and Fox Gate Farms. Upon arrival, they encounterd a 41-foot Hatteras Cabin Cruiser completely engulfed next to two garages. Gagnon said heavy smoke could be seen from Main Road. No one was injured. The strong winds from Sunday night's nor'easter gave concern to one the flames coming too close to one of the garages, which had a Desrosiers Excavating dump truck parked on site.
