It's fun to make your own costume, and can be an affordable option if you stick to items you already have around your house. Not to mention, you get to put your creative genius (or kids) to work. On Halloween night, many parents struggle to get their kids to eat something besides sweets while fulfilling their own adult responsibilities and having fun themselves. With the hurricane heading up the coast, will the storm make you remove your Halloween decorations?
With Hurricane Sandy's path possibly heading towards Rhode Island, many are wondering if the storm will impact their Halloween plans. As of Thursday morning, it looked like Sandy's path was unlikely to drift away from the area, and she could arrive as early as Monday or Tuesday. "There is a consensus forming in weather forecast models that Hurricane Sandy is unlikely to go out to sea," according to The Washington Post. The town of Middletown has already ordered the removal of all outdoor signs in preparation for the storm. This makes us wonder: Will you remove your Halloween decorations from your yard? It's Halloween season, and that means lots of ghost stories. Every town has its local ghost stories. Tales of people who died long ago and supposedly linger around town unable or unwilling to move on. So we're wondering what the most haunted spot in Portsmouth might be, if there were ghosts in our town. The Valley Inn Restaurant? The Glen? Or maybe a lesser known local spot? What do you think?
