A campaign recently started on Facebook for a Portsmouth educator.
A Facebook campaign to support a retired Portsmouth educator is gaining ground. Jan Persson Williams posted the following Facebook status Monday: PORTSMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL - Our dear friend Mr. Fitz is facing a serious health issue and will be undergoing difficult treatment. It would be wonderful if we could send cards and notes to let him know how much he means to us and to wish him well. Mr. Fitz, You are at the top of my family's prayer list, for strength and healing. You always lifted me up to feel like I was important. So many other PHS students feel the same way, because you made it your job (after you were done at the gum factory) to make a difference in our lives.
