Readers' Choice: Best Place for a Pedicure in Portsmouth

We could all benefit from a spa visit now and then, but making the time for it is another story. For those of you who love them, we want to know: which local spa offers the best pedicure service. Is it High Point Salon & Spa, The Nail Shoppe, All About You, Karen's Hair Design, Revive Hair Salon, Sydney's Salon & Spa, Invidia Salon & Spa or someplace else?  Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. Winner—Best Fries in Portsmouth

Who won the weekly poll?

The results are in and Boss Man Burgers won this week's "Best Of" Patch poll, being picked as the best place to buy fries in Portsmouth. Boss Man Burgers came in first with 44% support and 154 votes, holding onto the lead for most of the week.  In a surprise turn for second, Chase's Deli jumped ahead mid-week garnering 74 votes.  Not every restaurant was named in the poll, but we counted those places named in the comment section for the final tally, including El Parque.  Boss Man Burgers seemed a likely winner in the poll, especially after several comments of support, such as this one from Jo:  The Mexican fries and chili cheese fries at Boss Man are easily the best fries I've ever eaten...yum! Review Boss Man Burgers yourself on the Patch…

You Pick: Best Fries in Portsmouth

Who do you think makes the best fries?

They become the main enjoyment of the meal.  Everyone has their opinion about who serves up the best local fries. What's yours? Do you find yourself craving fries at The North End Pizzeria, Steve's Famous Pizza, Carmella's Pizzeria, Boss Man Burgers or  Scampi Restaurant? Or maybe it's the prepared …

Tell us your favorite local spot for a romantic meal.

Valentine's Day is Tuesday, and for many of us who are coupled up, it means we'll be enjoying a romantic dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. But which restaurant is best? Is it 15 Point Road or Scampi's along the water? Or perhaps it's the Valley Inn on West Main Road or Fieldstones Grille with its rustic charm? Or maybe someplace smaller, where the two of you can cuddle up in a dark corner, like at Graziano's 501 Cafe?  We want to hear your thoughts on which local restaurant is best for a special Valentine's night meal. Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite restaurant off the list, note that in the comments as well. We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting…
