• The Portsmouth School Committee has seven members, all of whom are residents of Portsmouth.
• The duties and authorities of the committee are as prescribed by the general laws of the State of Rhode Island.
• Regular meetings are held every month from September through June and additional meetings are scheduled as required in order to discharge committee business.
