Race For Open Space This Weekend
The ALT's 5K Race for Open Space takes place this Saturday at Glen Farm.
The Aquidneck Land Trust will hold its 5K Race for Open Space this Saturday at Glen Farm in Portsmouth.
This scenic, cross-country 5-kilometer race on ALT’s Sakonnet Greenway Trail is a unique and exciting addition to the local race circuit.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the race starting at 10:30 a.m.
Though not allowed in the running category, leashed dogs and strollers are welcome in the walking category of the race.
The online entry fee is $20 with proceeds from the race directed towards operations of the Aquidneck Land Trust and further maintenance of the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the largest nature trail on Aquidneck Island. Registration fees increase on day of event.
