Carson Morrison, 14, Troop 82's Newest Eagle Scout
Carson Morrison, 14, of Boy Scout Troop 82, sponsored by Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor held on August 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Eagle Scout Carson Morrison, the son of Kitty and Bob Morrison recently of Middletown, joins two cousins in his family to earn this distinction.
Carson’s Eagle Scout Project benefits the St. Mary’s community garden. The installation of 400’ of fencing enables the parish to grow produce, feeding those in need and the homeless.
An active scout for the past 7 years, Carson has been Troop 82’s Leave No Trace Trainer, Librarian, Historian and instructor. He was elected to the Boy Scout’s Order of the Arrow and completed Ordeal. Outside of scouting, Carson served as an Acolyte at St. Mary’s Saturday night church services. He enjoys swimming, fishing, camping, hiking and hanging out with friends. Congratulations to Troop 82’s newest Eagle Scout.
