America's Cup World Series Racing Begins Today

Racing begins today at 12 p.m. at Fort Adams.

Today begins the first day of official racing at Fort Adams for the America's Cup World Series.

The America's Cup World Series held its opening ceremony on Wednesday in anticipation of the next few days of racing, including a welcoming by Gov. Lincoln Chafee.

Sailing crews will race state-of-the-art AC45 wing-sailed catamarans around Narragansett Bay from 12 to 4 p.m.

The America's Cup Village will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
