The former Portsmouth superintendent of schools has a new, permanent job in the capitol city.
Susan Lusi, who previously served as superintendent in Portsmouth, has been appointed as superintendent of Providence schools, reports The Providence Journal. Lusi has served as interim superintendent in Providence since last summer after the departure of then-Superintendent Tom Brady.
Lusi announced in January 2011 she would not renew her with Portsmouth schools, but would go on to serve as interim superintendent for the Providence School District. She served for six years as superintendent in Portsmouth.
