Former Portsmouth Superintendent Is Finalist For Providence Post

Former Portsmouth Superintendent Susan Lusi is a finalist for school superintendent in Providence.

Former Portsmouth Superintendent Susan Lusi is a final candidate for the superintendent of schools position in Providence, reports The Providence Journal.

Lusi, who has served as interim superintendent in Providence since last summer, is one of four final candidates, according to the Journal.

Lusi announced in January 2011 she would not renew her  with Portsmouth schools, but would go on to serve as interim superintendent for the Providence School District. She served for six years as superintendent of Portsmouth schools.

But isn't that where she was before she came to Portsmouth? So sad that the less informed town council members' votes destroyed the school funding that year (2010)...Can't blame her for leaving. What a loss.

It was a loss for Lusi to go. The new Superintendent in Portsmouth seems very Harris selected, I have heard rumors. But rumors are all I have heard. However, rumors are sometimes based in fact.

Wait till she proclaims Providence is full of old, cheap retirees like she said about our retired navy vets. Then she can cry a river about how the school has to go over budget every year or else kids will be back on the street. Boo Hoo. Never gonna miss her and since Providence has serious budget problems, they'll soon find out it was a mistake to hire her because she will cook the books and make no effort to stay on budget.

Wow I guess you don't like her!!! Maybe you should give all the facts for us to decide.

Dr Lusi NEVER made that comment !!!! It was made by someone else (who shall remain nameless here) who I know didn't mean for it to offend or demean the retirees. Dr Lusi always spoke with honor and integrity.
