East Bay Students Honored as Student Leaders

Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts honored Rhode Island’s exemplary high school seniors on May 19, 2014, in the State Room of the Rhode Island State House as part of the Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Awards Program. Initiated in 1993 to recognize high school seniors who have made positive differences in their schools and communities, the program enables each high school in the state to choose one student that best embodies the qualities of a student leader and exhibits both a dedication to scholarship and a commitment to community service. Edesia Global founder Navyn Salem was the keynote speaker. The following students were recognized:
