Coach Appointments on School Committee Agenda

The Portsmouth School Committee has a fairly light agenda tonight, but it does have a slew of appointments to make.

The committee will be appointing coaches for football, soccer, cross country, tennis and cheerleading at Portsmouth High School.

Among the football appointments are the head coach job along with three assistants and two equipment managers.

For soccer, the committee will appoint a head coach, assistant coach and two volunteer coaches for the girls' team.

Also on the agenda is an item to discuss, approve or rescind teacher non-renewals, teacher recalls and leave of absence returns.

It is unclear if the School Committee will introduce their new superintendent choice, Ana Riley, who will come to Portsmouth after serving as superintendent in Dartmouth, Mass.
