Ana Riley is Portsmouth's New Superintendent of Schools

School Committee votes 7-0 to appoint Dartmouth Superintendent Ana Riley to the superintendent's job in Portsmouth.

Ana C. Riley is Portsmouth's new superintendent of schools.

Riley has been serving as superintendent in Dartmouth, Mass., and was unanimously appointed by the School Committee Tuesday night.

John Wojichowski said the vote was 7-0 and Riley has been offered a three-year contract with an annual salary of $152,000.

Riley was appointed assistant superintendent in Dartmouth in 2008 and became superintendent in 2011.
