[VIDEO] How to Get a Voter ID Card

This one-minute video shows you how to get a free identification card that you can use when voting in November.

For this year's election, scheduled for Nov. 6, all eligible voters will be required to show proof of identification at their polling place — and there's still time to register and obtain a Voter ID card.

The video (running time 1 min.) at right provides a summary of how to get a free Rhode Island Voter ID card through the office of Secretary of State Ralph Mollis.

For more information on the Voter ID card, including whether you need one and how to get one, call the secretary of state's office at (401) 222-2340, TTY 711; email to elections@sos.ri.gov; or visit the Voter ID card web page at sos.ri.gov/elections/voterid
