State Trooper Penalized for Giving Report on Governor's Son's Party

A member of the State Police is being punished after giving a talk show a police report.

A state trooper is being penalized after allegedly giving a police report to radio talk show WPRO, reports The Providence Journal on Friday. 

According to The Journal, the report was about , Caleb Chafee. The identity of the state trooper being disciplined was not released. 

State Police are investigating an incident in which a "highly intoxicated" 18-year-old woman was found walking along Route 102 in Exeter on May 28 after apparently leaving a party.

Chafee, son of Gov. Lincoln Chafee, allegedly hosted the party and told the girl not to call 911 until she was away from the property, according to the report. 

Caleb Chafee, 18, graduated from the  on May 27.
