According to the Sheehan campaign, a new billboard for his re-election campaign was vandalized on Tuesday night.

Senator James C. Sheehan (North Kingstown and Narragansett) was notified this morning [Wednesday] that one of his brand new billboard signs had been destroyed by an act of vandalism some time during the night of August 21.

The 4'x 4' color billboard sign, located on a highly visible and travelled area of Post Road in North Kingstown, had only been standing for about a week when it was vandalized.

After inspecting the damage and taking photos, Sheehan filed a police report with the North Kingstown Police Department.

Sheehan said, "Vandalism is a rare occurrence.  But, when it does occur, it is very frustrating, especially with a new and relatively expensive sign.  More importantly, I believe that elections should be free and fair.  Irrespective of who perpetrated this act or why, this kind of vandalism sadly limits a candidate's ability to garner fair consideration by voters."

Look at his voting record. Far from independent thinking.

You've got to love the sign too. Charting the course? Is that the same course that the Titanic took? RI is ranked last in so many things that it is truely sad. Let's get some new blood in the State House.

Mr. Anderson is obviously ignorant of Sheehan's voting record. Sheehan voted FOR BINDING ARBITRATION which was opposed by every Town Council in RI... opposed because BINDING ARBITRATION would have resulted in BANKRUPTING every city and town... many of which are teetering towards bankruptcy because of the FAILURE of LEADERSHIP by the Democrat General Assembly. 75 years of corruption, cronyism, patronage results in our state ranking last in nearly everything. Foreclosures all over the place... charting the course... Mr. Trager is right on... WE HAVE HIT THE ICEBERG due to these fools and criminals. VOTE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM OUT.

The unions write the bills for Sheehan and Lally. And the voter gets the bills. I guess Rhode Islanders are the real fools as they keep voting for these losers.
