RITBA Warns of Phishing Scam

The e-mail includes a link that appears to lead to a site that attempts to collect personal information.

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is warning people about a phishing scam involving an e-mail being sent to customers warning them about being "in arrears for driving on a toll road."

The e-mail is circulating with the E-ZPass logo and states that "you have not paid for driving on a toll road. This invoice is sent repeatedly. please service your debt in the shortest possible time."

The e-mail includes a link that appears to lead to a site that attempts to collect personal information.
