Prosecutors Charge Portsmouth Man in Navy Kickback Case

Projo.com reports that a third man from Portsmouth has been charged in connection with the case.

According to Projo.com, federal prosecutors have now charged a Portsmouth man in connection with the alleged kickback scheme inside the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport.

Russell Spencer of Portsmouth, a retired veteran of the defense industry, has been charged with one count of bribery, according to Projo.com. Spencer allegedly served as a consultant, who formed three companies which received millions of dollars from Navy contracts.
