Portsmouth Advertises for New Finance Director

The town of Portsmouth recently posted its advertisement for a new finance director on the town's website. 

The posting comes after the retirement of former Finance Director David Faucher. 

The finance/personnel director is responsible for management of the finance/personnel department, including personnel administration, according to the job posting.

The finance director is also responsible for budget development and budget process management, as well as administering town bid process and performing the duties of the town purchasing agent. 

Qualifying candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other business-related discipline, as well as hold prior experience as a controller or senior financial manager (at least three years). 

Candidates must also possess prior human resource administration experience. More job requirements and qualifications for this position can be found here

Town applications are required (resume may be attached). Applications are available in the Office of the Finance/Personnel Director at Portsmouth Town Hall. 

The deadline to submit a completed application is 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Applications must be dropped off at the Finance Department in Town Hall.
