Planned Parenthood Endorses Finn

The Rhode Island chapter of Planned Parenthood has officially endorsed Democratic candidate, Linda Finn, in the Rhode Island House District 72 race.

“As a woman and mother, I am honored to receive the endorsement of Planned Parenthood,” said Linda Finn. “The services Planned Parenthood provides to women, such as lifesaving cancer screenings, birth control, prevention and treatment of STIs, mammograms, and more are critical to the well-being of every woman in our state.”

“We are grateful that Linda is running and that she is a strong advocate of women’s health issues,” said Paula Hodges, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy of Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island.

“Unlike my opponent, who is a before undergoing an abortion, I believe that government and politicians need to stay out of the way and respect the privacy of women and their families while they face these very personal and difficult decisions.” continued Finn. “I intend to support family planning programs to help Rhode Island families get access to the preventative healthcare they need and that includes ensuring women have access to birth control.”

Linda Finn is running for Rhode Island House District 72, which includes the communities of Middletown, Portsmouth and Newport.
