PHOTO: Portsmouth Man Rallies for Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney

Did you see the one-man rally Wednesday near Clements' Market?

Portsmouth's Eric Isadore held a one-man rally for presidential candidate Mitt Romney Wednesday evening at the busy corner of East Main Road and Turnpike Avenue.

Isadore held up a Mitt Romney campaign sign. Many cars, as they drove by, honked in support.

This is the first of such political rallies to be held in Portsmouth for the 2012 season.

Did you see the sign? What do you think about this?

I think it's time to have a REAL POLL: Who would you VOTE For:..Obama OR Romney. Let's see. Just wonderin'.
getreal July 26, 2012 at 11:58 PM
Before I consider voting for Mitt (still not committed yet) I want him to release his taxes if he has nothing to hide.. I am not to crazy about the money in Switzerland and the Caymans along with his company Baines.
Robert E July 27, 2012 at 01:39 AM
Romney is such a joke he can't find anybody in his own party who is willing to be on the ticket with him.
TheOneCalledZed July 27, 2012 at 02:28 AM
I admired Romney for his accomplishments, in business, civic affairs, community, and family, until he started to run for president this time, and sold out his good character to a Republican party taken hostage by plutocrats and demagogues, and now I am just embarrassed for him. My vote will go to Obama.

Boy Larry, you must have taken a 32oz refill of the Coolaid!
J. Lane McMahon July 27, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Larry, You forgot that "Obama is the sole cause of our current national debt".
J. Lane McMahon July 27, 2012 at 02:17 PM
No person running for the highest elected office in our country should have a Swiss bank account. They are a very specific hedge against US dollar losses. That means Mitt was betting against the dollar.
JimR July 27, 2012 at 02:39 PM
After watching Romney stumble, bumble and embarass the US in London, even the sychophants on Fox were left speechless.

Man am I going to have a party when Obongo is out of office. The guy is stoned on liberalism . NObama 2012 WE CAN DO BETTER
J. Lane McMahon July 27, 2012 at 02:50 PM
Here it is for all to see. You, Joe, are one of the main reasons this country is in the trouble it's in. Partisan politics at it's worst. Name calling and insulting a sitting president? What are you 12? If I had any respect for you, it's gone.
Joe Sousa. July 27, 2012 at 02:53 PM
I guess the dribble you and Larry post is suppose to make sense. This President is not good for our country and it shows with the economic numbers. He has increased the nation debt and made us weaker than ever. He is a joke and should be treated as such.
Joe Sousa. July 27, 2012 at 02:54 PM
NObama 2012 WE CAN DO BETTER

Well spoken Larry. Liberalism is the cause,Conservatism is the cure.

I have no problem with Gay Marriage, Freedom is just that , the right to chose and live the type of life you wish to live. As long as your life style doesn't endanger others it is your choice. Life Liberty and the pursuit of happiness has real meaning to me. If I want to own guns, eat beacon cheese burgers, smoke cigars, and drink beer 24 - 7 it is my choice . Not that I want to do those things but if I did it is my choice and my life.

Classic Corporate Pig Made in China!
getreal July 28, 2012 at 05:02 AM
Part of our great national debt is from the unfunded wars we have been fighting for the past 10 years, the bail out of Wall Street and other Corporations by the taxpayers, the Mitt Roomney's that closed factories and moved all the jobs overseas to increase profit margins. That being said, I am not too crazy about either choice come November.
Joe Sousa. July 28, 2012 at 11:27 AM
getreal would you, Government regulation and high taxes chased businesses off shore . The fact is it's to expensive to produce here.
Sailor July 28, 2012 at 12:11 PM
@Larry Welsh Please site your sources for each of your listed so called "Conservative Beliefs". A URL to a quote, video of a conservative stating what you listed or other online documents will suffice as a source. Thank you. I will be waiting.
BD July 28, 2012 at 01:40 PM
I'll save Larry some time, Sailor...tune in to Fox News for about a half hour. You'll hit on about a half dozen of them. If you are still in denial, try WPRO and one of its amateur hours for a little while. I get quite a kick out of some of the more rabid mouth-breathers that call in. I'm convinced that the hosts are just ratings whores that laugh at half their audience when they are off the air.
Lee July 28, 2012 at 02:38 PM
OK Larry, you are right all of those @#$!% Conservatives must think that way. Please add to the list that they "leave the toilet seat up" and I'm pretty sure they don't like kittens.
Robert E July 28, 2012 at 02:50 PM
Joe most of the jobs moved off shore when taxes where at thei lowest and regulations where eased.

MITT vs MITT - The story of two men trapped in one body http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNwi1IZKf9M Mitt doesn't know what side of the issues he is on.
Sailor July 28, 2012 at 04:07 PM
Never said you were a monkey. You seem to be the one involved in name calling. I am quite capable of doing my own research. I was simply asking you for the source of the list YOU put up and then started denigrating anyone who disagreed with it. You don’t seem to be able to express yourself without insulting. People who do that are usually covering up some inadequacy are lack of belief in what they are saying. You call me a good independent self-made American. Thank you for the compliment. You make it sound like a bad thing. I wonder why that is.
getreal July 29, 2012 at 04:28 AM
Government regulation and high taxes chased businesses off shore . The fact is it's to expensive to produce here ????????? So let me get this right, corporations move businesses off shore because it cost too much here but you get and recieve all types of tax breaks and in the millions of dollars. Is this not just like the countless number of people cheating Social Security, Medicare and welfare. For this economy to turn around we need to get more people working in this country instead of sending jobs to Asia, South America just to increase the profit margin. The rich still keep on getting richer while the middle class pay the price.

j.lane is a Dopey liberal with no clue . go ahead vote for nobama drive your prius and watch your coutry get stolen from under your feet . also dont disrespect 12yr olders it appears thay have more brains then you.
J. Lane McMahon August 10, 2012 at 04:28 PM
Kevin, I'm a centrist Democrat. I don't buy Toyotas, even thought they are more American than most of the "US" car companies offerings. Just a few years ago, the GOP screamed and yelled that you weren't patriotic or a good American if you even remotely questioned GWB. (Please remember right-wingers, he was all yours.) Now, it is commonplace for those same people to call a sitting President names? Wow, how does that work? And if I disrespected Joe, well, all the better. If he's 12 that would explain a lot. (I also haven't met many 12 year-olds that deserve my respect.
