New Gas Line Could Run Across Sakonnet River

Under a new plan, Spectra Energy plans to bring natural gas services to Tiverton and Little Compton.

Spectra Energy, a S&P 500 company with headquarters in Houston, Texas, plans to construct a 1.6-mile long natural gas line in Tiverton and Little Compton, according to The Associated Press

The gas line, which would run across the Sakonnet River from Aquidneck Island, would bring natural gas service for the first time to customers in Tiverton and Little Compton, according to the article.
