Hess Abandons Plans for LNG Terminal

Projo.com reports that Hess has withdrawn its plans to build an LNG plant.

Projo.com is reporting that Hess has withdrawn plans to construct an LNG plant at Weaver Cove in Fall River, MA.

The plan was withdrawn due to "unfavorable economics," according to the announcement made late Monday.

Several state politicians, including U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, called the withdrawal of the project a "victory."
