Chafee plans to host the community forum to hear from local small businesses and "discuss ways to help them succeed, grow the economy, and create jobs for Rhode Islanders," according to a release from the Newport County Chamber of Commerce.

He will be joined by Portsmouth Town Council President Joseph W. Robicheau and other town officials, the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, U.S. Small Business Administration, Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, Ocean State Business Development Authority, RI Small Business Development Center and Newport County Chamber of Commerce.

Representatives from Governor Chafee’s office and participating agencies will be on-hand to answer questions and schedule follow-up one-on-one appointments with participants.
