Legislators Look at Moving Anthony House Bus Stop for Senior Residents

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has been asked to move this bus stop so residents no longer have to cross a busy street.

Several local legislators are looking at moving a bus stop for the elderly residents of  Apartments.

The current stop is located across the street from Anthony House Apartments. Local legislators would like to move this stop to the same side of the street as the assisted-living facility.

Rep. Daniel P. Reilly (R-Dist. 72 Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport) and Senator Christopher Ottiano (R-Dist. 11 Portsmouth, Bristol) have asked the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) to relocate the bus-stop.
