A 23-year-old Providence man is facing charges of possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to deliver after Newport and Portsmouth detectives believed he was dealing drugs in the Park Avenue area.

Portsmouth police said Jose Matos was charged yesterday after detectives set up surveillance on the area and detained him when he was seen driving his car.

Inside his car, police found several hidden magnetic compartments, 87 grams of cocaine, seven grams of heroin and $612 cash.

Matos was arraigned today and is being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

The snitches were on scene. No cuffs on them. Cops didnt "observe" anything, they let someone tattletell then act like it was great police work. PROMOTIONS ALL AROUND
