Police Log: Portsmouth Man Allegedly Pushes Woman To Ground

A Portsmouth man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly pushing a woman to the ground and ripping her shirt sleeve.

Matthew Kenerson, 27, of 25 Molleur Road, was arrested at 1 a.m. after becoming involved in an argument with a 26-year-old Portsmouth woman. 

During the argument, Kenerson reportedly pushed her to the ground, resulting in her shirt sleeve becoming torn.

He was arrested and charged with domestic simple assault. He was released after appearing before a justice of the peace. 

Man arrested after allegedly swearing in front of kids

A Portsmouth man apparently became very upset after a man decided to photograph evidence of vandalism in Common Fence Point earlier this month. 

Daniel Woods, 47, of 1266 Anthony Road, was arrested Thursday at 3:30 p.m. after a motor vehicle stop on Anthony Road. 

Woods was wanted on an affidavit arrest warrant in connection with an incident on June 8. 

Woods allegedly became upset after seeing a 37-year-old Portsmouth man photograph pictures of vandalism at a Common Fence Point Association property. Vandals had dug holes on the association's property. The man was photographing the damage. 

Woods allegedly began to yell and swear at the man. Children were in the vicinity at the time. 

Police later issued a warrant for Wood's arrest. He was arrested after the motor vehicle stop and charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released by a justice of the peace.
