Portsmouth man arrested as fugitive from justice
A Portsmouth man was arrested Wednesday on drug trafficking charges issued from an Ohio sheriff's department.

Kevin Schiavone, 39, of 86 Cedar Ave., Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Schiavone was wanted as a fugitive from justice. He was wanted on drug possession and trafficking charges out of the Cuyahoga Sheriff's Department.

Schiavone was arrested at his home and later transported to district court for arraignment.
Portsmouth man arrested on bench warrant
Logan Godek, 22, of 66 Cove St., Portsmouth, was arrested Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. after a vehicle stop on East Main Road at Park Avenue.
The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation — no taillights.
A check revealed Godek was wanted on a Second District Court bench warrant for failure to appear at an ability-to-pay hearing.
He was later arraigned and released after appearing before a justice of the peace.
Fall River woman arrested on DUI charge
Lori Knarr, 38, of Fall River, was arrested Wednesday at 10 p.m. after a vehicle stop on West Main Road near Cory's Lane.
The vehicle was stopped for operating erratically. Police say they detected an aroma of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
Knarr, the operator, apparently failed a field sobriety test and, after being transported to headquarters, allegedly refused a chemical test.
She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
