I have asked for more police visibility in Western Cranston many times. Guess they think we are un touchable up here, NOT. My neighbor won't decorate anymore because they are constantly stealing from his property and of course no one is ever caught... Just waiting for retirement to bail...this state.

WAHH. Random vandalism has been going on since the creation of the teenage. Act like the western cranston snobs aren't capable of doing this, or worse. Cry me a river, Bob.

R.E.F., I don't see how this couldn't be at a cost to us. It makes no sense because either way it comes out of the budget...and that we pay for. I'm sure you see it this way too and just pointed out the statement. Bob is right that we are becoming like Providence in one sense, we are the 2nd in the State (other than Providence) to provide ample housing to Homeless, re-entry and house Sex Offenders and the like. I have learned much over the last few months about re-entry and this is something we need to get used to because they are flattening sentences and releasing criminals too early because the don't have the money or room to house them all. Check out the Alliance for Safe Communities http://asc-ri.org/ Tomorrow morning on Helen Glover at 7:45 a.m. Carolyn Medeiros does a Monday "Outrage" and its not good news about the change that we are "IN". Remember a few years back the Projo did an extensive article on Gangs in Cranston & Providence - YIKES, I should have left then.
