I am going to keep this short and sweet.
There is a vision here that people concentrate on a down economy and how to just survive this unemployment issue.
What our local legislatures should be doing is creating an atmosphere more business friendly for the Navy Land.
Instead of concentrating on a losing issue with the Casino's they should shift all their effort in a more business friendly state and especially at the Navy Aquidneck Island plan. I don't mind back door handshake deals in this one, get the Business HERE.
For far too long these non leaders in our General Assembly and Senate have been looking for legislation that leads to litigation (quoting Andre D'Andrea). Which only makes them money in the long run.
Let's find more people for the people instead of D.W.I.'s falsely calling themselves a lawyer, hidden handshake deals over lunch in Providence that don't work. All of them have officially been caught with their hand in the candy jar, but the Candy jar is empty and they keep trying to get at it.
Now envision this, Business that would prosper in the winter and let the employees somewhat relax and enjoy the summer while the hospitality industry handles that time segment. Many businesses are looking for quality of life for their employee also. A Casino is not the answer.
Look for a vision in making a business friendly state, cut taxes and regulation (which will not happen with all the incumbents in seeing mostly are lawyers that make a buck of their own legislation.) watch this small state prosper, especially the Aquidneck Island.
