Who has seen it at night?

Please tell me what they were thinking when these horrible blue lights were put up on the new Sakonnet River Bridge? I just was visiting from my home on Cape and saw the blue lights and was forced to ask myself, "what were they thinking?!? I had to remind myself that I grew up here...it is New England, not New Orleans. It is Newport, not New York! Why haven't I heard anything about these lights at all? I can only assume that people just are not aware at all. Please go look. What saddened me was the view ofthe beautiful Mt.Hope Bridge far in the background of this monstrousity. Please, canthe town use some lights that don't make it look like the entance to main road into Vegas?
