Where Do You Go for Adult Beverages in Town?

Portsmouth Patch needs your help with this week's Readers' Choice poll.

Next week's Readers' Choice poll will determine where is the best package or liquor store in town, and I need your help!

What places should be included in the poll? Where do you go to buy a bottle of wine or other adult beverage?

So far, I've included , , ,  (formerly Gleeson's Package Store) and .

Want to nominate a business that should be included in our poll?

Send your nomination to Sandy@Patch.com or comment in the section below. This will allow us to be sure we don't leave anyone out.

And don't forget to cast your vote for this week's . Voting ends Friday at 9 a.m.

For a bottle of wine, Allen's Wine and Spirits. Ask Glenn for a suggestion he really knows his products. Tell him your price range and he'll steer you right every time. For a drink out with friends, the patio at Melville Grill on a nice sunny day.

Allen’s for beer; and maybe cheap $10 bottle of wine that won’t be in the store long. But not for a more expensive wine. Here’s why - They keep most of their wine in the front of the store where it gets significant direct exposure to the afternoon/early evening sunlight, and it gets warm in that part of the store. Neither of those conditions is good for the wine.
