Obituary: Mary Gloria Souza, 94, Loving Navy Wife
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, from 8-9am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
Mary Gloria (Couto) Souza, 94, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Newport Hospital.
She was the wife of Frank Souza of Portsmouth.
Born in Little Compton, RI, on December 24, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Rapoza) Couto.
Mary was a very loving and caring wife and friend. She was a devoted Navy wife, often being without her husband for a year or more at a time. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband of 67 years, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends
