Obituary: Linda V. Pribula, 79, Had a Green Thumb

Linda V. Pribula, of Portsmouth, passed gently on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the age of 79 with her family and friends keeping her company. Born in Sulmona, Italy, she came from a large, hardworking family, one of 13 children.

She loved to cook and worked in her family’s restaurant when she was young for many years. She married a military man and travelled Europe for a while. She was active in many programs that assisted newly transferred service men in the military to European duty stations. A long-time resident of the New England Area, she lived in Portsmouth for almost 40 years. She enjoyed many years of work on the Naval Base in Newport and most recently was employed at Clements Marketplace in Portsmouth for 10 years. She enjoyed sewing and volunteered at a local fabric/seamstress shop in Portsmouth. She loved lighthouses and plants and could make almost anything grow.

Linda was predeceased by her son Patrick, her husband of 45 years Richard and son Mitchell. Linda leaves behind her only son Paul, daughter-in-law Beth and granddaughter Holly.

All arrangements will be private.
