8th Annual SSG Christopher Potts Fishing Tournament

Fellow Friends and Fishermen,

My name is Captain Michael Littlefield and every year the family of Staff Sergeant Christopher Potts and our fishing club, the Aquidneck Island Striper Team, has the honor of hosting a fishing tournament for our friend who was mortally wounded in Iraq. For the last eight years, we have been raising money for the SSG Christopher Potts Memorial Fund through local donations. This year will be the 8th Annual SSG Christopher Potts Fishing Tournament for the family.

SSG Potts was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 103rd Field Artillery Regiment, Army National Guard, Providence, RI. He died in Taji, Iraq while conducting traffic control operations. SSG Potts died October 3, 2004 on his 38th birthday. He leaves a wife and two sons behind.
